The Museum presents over 2,500 pieces of baked clay, stone and bone, discovered since 1924. A significant part of the collection contains enigmatic inscriptions that we are still trying to decipher.
Remarkable animal engravings and sculptures, bisexual idols, facial urns and inscribed tablets.
The tour begins with a 15-minute documentary. It continues with the discovery of the archaeological collections and period photographs.
These are the collections of Glozel, an archaeological site in the Montagne Bourbonnaise.
The Musée de Glozel: 97 years of history... opened in 1926, it is one of the oldest museums in the Bourbonnais region.
