This route, on the first heights of the Montagne Bourbonnaise, offers a panoramic view of the plains to the north and the mountains to the south.

Châtelus was once a fortified village. Not much remains of the imposing fortress that once stood here. What remains, however, is the feudal mound and, at its base, the impressive Maison des Dîmes.
