The present church, built between 1787 and 1791, was closed in 1793 and reopened in 1808. After repairs to the bell tower (1836), it was enlarged in 1856-1861 by Vichy architect Batilliat, who rebuilt the choir, raised the walls by two meters and rebuilt the vaults.
