Group, tribe, family, duo, solo, on foot, bike, horseback, pony, canoe, paraglider, quad, skis or snowshoes… Enter the infinite playgrounds of the Bourbonnaise Mountain!”
The best way to discover the Montagne bourbonnaise is to walk its more than 400 km of marked trails. The great hikers will take the GR 3 or the GR 3A, which crosses the massif from north to south, the two variants forming a largeloop of nearly 70 km, while lovers of small family walks can choose from among about thirty small hiking routes (PR)to explore every corner of the territory.
Some choice also for asphalt devourers with two loops, 62km and 96km, hundreds of kilometers of small bucolic roads and four passes, two of them culminating at 1000 m. Those who prefer the small roads to the main roads, hundreds of kilometers of marked circuits are offered to you.
For radical emotions, go on a vertical adventure in the Bourbonnaise Mountains, climbing some of the 257 equipped routes on four free access sites and one via corda: the Darots in Châtel-Montagne, La Salette in Saint-Clément, Pierre-Châtel in Saint-Nicolas-des-Biefs and the Saint-Vincent rock in Lavoine or trying your hand at the via corda of Châtel-Montagne.
